The National Stock Exchange of India (NSE) started its initial public offering (IPO)
for public subscription today, September 17, 2026. This marks one of the largest
public share offerings in India.
NSE IPO Price Band and Offer Details
The IPO has a price range from ₹1,700 to ₹1,785 per share and includes a sale of
up to 12.64 crore shares by current shareholders. Since this is a complete
Offer for Sale (OFS) by shareholders, NSE will not receive any money from this
share sale.
NSE IPO Important Dates
The IPO will remain open until September 21, 2026. Shares will likely be allotted
on September 22, 2026, and trading on the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE)
is expected to begin on September 24, 2026.
Investors need to apply for a minimum of 8 shares, which will cost
₹14,280 at the highest price of the IPO price band.
NSE IPO Anchor Book
Before the public offering, NSE raised ₹6,746.18 crore from
189 institutional investors through its anchor book. This allocation included
both local and international investors, with shares priced at ₹1,785 per share.
NSE IPO Subscription on Day 1
On the first day of bidding, there was interest from institutional and retail investors.
According to Reuters, by 10:20 AM IST, bids had been received
for about 0.09 times the available shares. Later reports showed that the
subscription numbers were increasing during the morning.
NSE IPO Grey Market Premium (GMP)
The latest unofficial grey-market premium (GMP) was around
₹125 per share on the morning of September 17, 2026.
